Hey Reader — If you've been around for a while, you know the question that's always hung in the air: Where's the book? When's it coming? My answer, for years, was always the same: It's not ready yet. I'm not ready yet. That was true—painfully true. The past decade has been about learning, field-testing, finding my voice, and letting go of the old leadership industry and everything it expected from me. Only this past year did I finally arrive at a moment of completeness—where the book could be written on its own terms, not as a product for the powers-that-be, but as a weapon of liberation for the people who actually need it. My family feels the threat of this book. They know it won't be popular with the establishment. One of my kids even joked, "Dad, you're going to be one of those guys nobody knows about until after he's dead." We laugh about it, but I'm okay with that. What I'm not okay with is holding back something the world desperately needs just because it isn't "safe." So what is this book? What makes it so different? My upcoming book Liberate the Leaders started with a subversive question: What if our leaders aren't underperforming—they're trapped? What if they don't need more training—they need to be set free? Here's what you can expect: This book will name the hidden forces trapping you and nearly every changemaker you know. It will expose the system that keeps you in chains, often without your awareness. If you can see it, you can name it. If you can name it, you can critique it. If you can critique it, you can begin to change it. I'm also reframing leadership itself—not as a role or title, but as a force. Leadership is the counterforce to oppression. The essence of leadership is—and always has been—liberty. For those ready to move, I'll show you the way through the Three Keys of Leadership Transformation and LeaderQuest—a map of the universal journey of leadership transformation. Whether you're just feeling the call to lead, in the thick of wrestling with hidden forces, or a seasoned leader looking to help others rise—this book will give you vocabulary, vision, and a sense that you're not lost, you're not alone, and you're not crazy for stepping into uncertainty. Above all, Liberate the Leaders is here to help us find each other. Because before there was the book or LeaderQuest or even Crucible Theory, there was a vision—to build a home for those who break the system, for the changemakers and liberators. Stay tuned for that story, and an invitation to find your place in this community. Onward, Dan |
