I believe society is broken. The nation is broken. The systems we live in—government, corporations, schools, even churches and families—are broken. They are producing a world overflowing with needless suffering: ⚠️ School shootings and suicides. ⚠️ Terrorism and wars abroad, but also silent wars at home—bullying, exploitation, exclusion, despair. ⚠️ Systemic violence not only in physical form, but in everyday indignities: toxic workplaces, predatory policies, families fractured, youth alienated, communities hollowed out. All of it has one root cause: Our leaders are in chains. Leadership is the counterforce to oppression. But not the leadership of headlines, parliaments, or presidents. Not the empty mystique sold to us by the Leadership Industrial Complex. True leadership is local, immediate, lived. It is the courage to confront oppression in the moment, in the situation, in the community right before you. The answer is not to save the nation. The nation is just an institution, like your company or your school. Institutions are not sacred; communities are. Institutions exist to serve communities, and when they fail to exalt the community, they become tools of oppression. The task of leadership is always to exalt the community: ➡️ To liberate your workplace from fear and dysfunction. ➡️ To liberate your school from apathy and alienation. ➡️ To liberate your church from hierarchy and hypocrisy. ➡️ To liberate your family from cycles of silence and shame. The mantle of leadership lives in you. Not in the credentialed elite, not in the sanctioned executives, not in the polished gurus. It lives in the people. In you. In us. This is the call: leaders must rise. Throw off your chains. Reject the false idols of power, technique, and mystique. Reclaim what leadership has always been—a human birthright, a moral force, the capacity to confront oppression and create community. We cannot wait for institutions to save us. They will not. They are not designed to. We must save one another. We must rise as leaders, not once in a generation, but daily, community by community, situation by situation. The world will not change from the top down. It will not change through systemic reform or armed rebellion. It will change when leaders from every clime awaken, arise, and lead.
